For me, art is a way of personal connection with the beautiful and a feeling of unity with a world. I don’t know what comes first, the inspiration or the necessity of making art. For many years, I was exclusively engaged in icon painting because of its pure nature of the human quest for eternal. In the process I developed a desire to combine this prodigious world with a multifaceted world of modern painting and see what would come out of it.
